Python Job: Spatial Analyst

The Opportunity

As part of the Fibre Engineering GIS team at TPG, the Spatial Analyst is part of the Technology Division and is responsible for the development and maintenance of the TPG Spatial Systems. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in a GIS field as well as aptitude of a senior software developer, with enthusiasm for full stack application development.

Responsibilities

• Development and support of the GIS systems, meeting the operational needs of the business
• Full stack application development including design and architecture
• Development and implementation of bespoke GIS solutions including databases, REST APIs, and desktop and web applications
• Work with major bids team on required solution
• Provide subject matter expert support to the business and the team
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members
• Communicate effectively to stakeholders and internal customers
• Troubleshoot issues and to provide support and training to end users
• Facilitating integration with other systems

Skills & Experience Requirements

• A tertiary qualification in relevant disciplines such as GIS, Geography or Urban Planning in desirable
• Experience using the ArcGIS suite of technologies and Web Mapping is highly regarded.
• GIS Analytics and experience using other GIS software may be considered.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python), is desirable.
• Experience in providing user support in mapping and information systems, is desirable
